As the Digital industries scale, it is important to keep track of deliverables and responsibilities in order to maintain and improve quality and efficiency. To this end, Tech companies, and even individuals source tools to help make that a possibility. In addition to these, the popularity of remote working accelerated by the COVID-19 Pandemic has led individuals and teams into relying more on Task Management Platforms in managing projects. It is therefore apparent that task management and monitoring are important for modern businesses and professionals.
I and two other Product Designers were tasked with coming up with a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) for a Task Management Platform (TMP) targeted at Designers. To clearly understand the challenge, we needed to sample the correct audience.
In carrying out our research, we firstly sampled opinions and studied behaviors of Tech industry professionals and freelancers irrespective of their areas of expertise. They ranged from Software Developers to Designers. We then focused our research on Creatives who were our target audience. These Creatives ranged from Product Designers to Graphic Designers to Web Designers and Brand Designers.

We carried out our research by conducting Competitor Analyses and User Interviews.
We carried out research on already existing Task Management Platforms including Trello, Jira, and Asana, to figure out the pain points of users, as well as the pros and cons of the apps. We made use of online articles and our experience in using some of the apps.
Target Users
As earlier stated, the demographic or sample space for this project was Creatives in the Tech Industry. We conducted in-person user interviews.
